WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The challenge is open to students who are enrolled in a Spanish course at your school for the 2009-2010 academic school year. The higher the level the more prepared the students will feel. All students are eligible but it is advised that the advanced/higher level students are selected because they will be most prepared. We suggest that the higher levels be selected because they will be next to graduate and also have the most experience with the language. However, in the end the decision is up to the discretion of the teacher representatives of each school because often we find that there are some talented and ambitious students in lower levels.

A student team must have 4 students and at least one alternative (equaling 5 students). A student
team can have up to 2 alternatives (equaling 6 students) for your team. Per round only 4 students can play. Those alternate students can rotate in and out of categories. It is up to each school's discretion to decide how it wants to rotate students :)

TEACHER REPRESENTATIVE/S:
There has to be at least one Teacher Representative from each school who has to be present on Challenge day. Teacher Representative/s aren't permitted share answers with students. On
the day of the competition the Teacher Representative/s will take on the role as a judge
for a category. He/she will receive the questions and answers for his/her category on
the day of the competition.

QUESTIONS FOR CHALLENGE:
(1) Questions will be made up by the participating schools and will be posted for all to see.
(2) Each school will be will be responsible to create 3 questions for each category.
The questions will be submitted along with answers and with websites used.
The websites must be credible (please don't use websites that require passwords)
(3) Teacher Representative/s must attend an Orientation to receive more information
as to how to create the questions.
(4) On competition day all categories must be answered in Spanish.
