The Strongsville High School Chamber Strings has been in existence since 1999. This volunteer group of select string musicians performs an array of reperatoire and rehearses after school at least once a week during the school year. Since its founding, this group has consistently earned superior ratings at OMEA Large Group Adjudicated Orchestra Events (State Contest), and has performed for numerous community events, special functions, and music festivals. Musicians are generally selected from the Strongsville High School Symphony Orchestra via audition. Membership into this special ensemble is considered an honor and is an aspiration of many string players in the SCS Orchestra Program.
