  • Elements of Art

This is a very simple and direct set of art definitions.

This should be easy to use.

  • The Elements and Principles of Art

I selected this website because the elements of art, aka the elements of design, are explained

in a direct manner.  The definitions are simple and clear.  The pictures lead to a visual understanding.

Best of all, this is a slideshow format.  I wanted this assignment to be clear and simple for students.

  • Art explained and made simple.

This link is more for parents.  Sometimes art, much like science, math and other subjects, seems to be confusing.

This is a pretty good website to clarify and to develop notions about art.  It deals with diverse art subject matter including

Art History and Art Appreciation.  It is more of an FYI.
