Power of the Pen    POWER OF THE PEN

Power of the Pen is Center's creative writing team!  Do you have lots of ideas that you’d love to put on paper?  Are you looking for people to read your original stories?  The P.O.P. team is made up of six 7th graders and six 8th graders (plus alternates) who meet after school once a week starting in October to write, discuss, and brainstorm ideas for good writing.  In February, the team travels to compete in an interscholastic District Tournament. 

Center has a rich history with P.O.P. (Check out the trophies in the library!!) Listen carefully to morning announcements to learn the dates of tryouts in September. Don't be shy; try out for the team!
