Policies Regarding All Electronic Devices
(Especially Cell Phone Usage)

It is our mission at Center Middle School to focus on student learning and achievement. The following guidelines have been established to encourage our mission and for the betterment of our students and staff. We ask for your assistance as we implement these rules.
Parents are asked to support the district's policy on use of cell phones during school hours. Please do not call, leave a voice mail or texst your child during school hours. This only increases the temptation of our students to use their cell phones during school hours, which will reult in consequences.

All electronic devices, if brought to school, must be immediately turned off and stored in the locker for the duration of the school day (8:10-3:00).

Students are not permitted to use these items until all buses have been dismissed (3:15).

Devices will be confiscated if visible to a staff member and will need to be picked up by a parent or guardian from my office. If you need to contact your child, please call the main office (572-7090).
If you need to contact your child, please call the main office (572-7090). However, because a cell phone, MP3, iPod’s, etc., can be a tool for learning if used properly, some teachers may allow the usage of such electronic devices in their individual classrooms only. Nevertheless, if the device is not used properly, it will be confiscated.
