The Whitney PTA Board would like to welcome all parents, students, staff and teachers to the 2016-2017 school year! If you are new to the school, we hope you will participate in PTA. PTA is a great way to meet other parents and teachers, and find out what is going on at our school and around the district!
The success of our events and activities depends on volunteers. There are all sorts of opportunities to get involved, from chair/cochair activities all the way down to sending in bakery goodies for room parties. Some of the events that will take place this year include class parties, the Book Fair, Breakfast with a Buddy, Movie Night and Carnival. Volunteers are needed for these events and many more. Most of the events take place in the evening to accommodate those parents that work. However, others are scheduled during the day. We even have some committees that can be done from the privacy of your home! Your volunteer efforts can really help make this a great year for the students! Whitney’s website is a great place to get updates on activities and events.
We still have open positions for officers and chairpersons. Any of these positions can be done with a friend so co chairing is a great idea as well! Please let us know if you are interested in any that are listed below. Thank You and looking forward to a fantastic school year!!
