The Orchestra Program at Strongsville High School consists of approximately 160 musicians and four different orchestras.
The Freshman Orchestra consists of freshman string players
The String Orchestra consists of string players in grades 10-12.
The Symphony Orchestra is an auditioned group of serious musicians in grades 9-12. Private lesson instruction is highly recommended. Auditions take place during the spring (March or April).
The Chamber Strings consists of string players generally from the Symphony Orchestra and rehearses after school on a weekly basis.
The Pit Orchestra is comprised of a group of musicians generally from the Symphony Orchestra. They rehearse after school several days a week and prepare the music for the school musical. Instrumentation varies via the specific needs of the show.
