Ø  Dexter Frank Drake Elementary School is named after a Strongsville Educator and Board of Education member from 1898 to 1935.

Ø Drake Elementary was built on 13 acres of land on Albion Road in Strongsville, Ohio and dedicated on Sunday, March 16, 1975.

Ø Strongsville City Schools have continued to receive a rating of Excellent by the state of Ohio since 2002.

Ø Drake Elementary earned a rating of Excellent for the 2010-2011 school year.

Ø  Drake Elementary has approximately 430 students in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade with 48 staff members providing an excellent learning environment for all students.

Ø Some of the activities for students include band, orchestra, and choir, and along with many other activities throughout the year.
