AP ART & DESIGN/DRAWINGTwo semesters, 1 creditPrerequisites: Foundations of Art, or 2 Semesters of Art, with an "A" or "B" averageThis course is the most challenging class offered by the SHS Art Department, enabling students to pursue college level studies in studio art. Emphasis will be on critical analysis, innovative thinking and the development of a portfolio of work demonstrating high levels of technique, quantity, quality and original style. Success on the optional AP Art & Design portfolio examination can enable students to earn college credits and placement in college programs. All classwork, whether submitted or not to the College Board for examination, will be evaluated based upon the College Board criteria for purposes of awarding high school credit.Important links:
