This Advanced Placement (AP) course is designed as a one-year college-level course in which Microeconomics is taught in the first semester and Macroeconomics is taught in the second semester. Students are working to prepare to take both the AP Microeconomics and AP Macroecnomics Exams in May 2013, thus requiring them to master and apply the topics detailed in the course syllabi.
AP Economics is a rigorous, yet rewarding examinination of the fundamental principles which govern economic activities at the individual/corporate level as well as of the aggregate economy. A major emphasis of this course will be on the development of critical thinking skills and the application of economic principles and methodologies in problem solving. Consequently, this course will incorporate a variety of activities to traditional lectures, exams, and problem solving. Welcome!
