Curriculum Department
The department of curriculum in Strongsville City Schools is dedicated to providing tools and resources to assist our educators in effectively teaching students grades Pre-K through 12. We work to increase student achievement and growth through the adoption of research-based materials, the implementation of ongoing high quality professional development, and by providing innovation and cohesive leadership for the overall instructional programming in the District. The curriculum department emphasizes and promotes creativity and the use of technology throughout instructional methods in order to reach, engage and differentiate for all student learners. The department also oversees testing as well as programming designed to encompass varied learners’ needs including English Learners (EL) instruction, gifted services and resource allocation, Title I reading programming and SCS virtual instruction options.
