At 6:30pm on the evening of Thurs. Sept 25th, Strongsville High School Marching Band welcomed children of all ages in the community to join them during the first part of practice. The goal was to make music a fun experience and possibly motivate students to join the band in coming years. Many children were in attendance, from preschoolers to middle school students and everyone had a fun time taking turns marching in formation right alongside of high school band members. These future musicians even brought an instrument of their choice to use when joining in the band practice. Band director, Dave Harbart, thanked everyone for attending and announced to the young students and family members that they were welcome to stay for the remainder of practice. Many people hung out to enjoy the free concert, listening to the music and socializing till dusk on a crisp fall evening at the high school.
