On the last weekend of September, many Strongsville students and families took part in the city's Harvest Festival. This event welcomes guests to enjoy a day strolling the grounds of the Strongsville Historical Village. Children had a chance to make a fall craft, see farm animals in the petting zoo, make candlesticks, and sample homemade snickerdoodle cookies made over an open fire in the old log cabin. This event is run by volunteers, many of whom dressed in old-fashioned clothing, that brought a special charm to the event. Each of the eight buildings on the grounds was open for the festival and activities took place all around them.
