On Monday, April 21, high school students took part in a group service project- Clean Up Strongsville. This project was sponsored by members of Key Club, National Honors Society, and Student Council. Students were determined to come together to make a difference. These students volunteered their time, splitting into teams to clean up areas of the community such as the ballfields, cemetery, playground, backyard reserve, and the stream area near the Rec Center. Mrs. Schleich, NHS Advisor, was also present at the event to support students. She was very proud of their efforts and surprised at the amount of debris that was collected. Students will also be volunteering on the evening of April 24 at the Rec Center to help bag trees that will be distributed to second graders across the district in celebration of Arbor Day.
