As the Director of Instructional Technology, Dave collaboratively works with all district departments to fulfill the Technology Department's mission to EMPOWER Learning Through Supporting INNOVATION, ENGAGEMENT, & INFRASTRUCTURE. The Technology Department oversees both the instructional and operational technology needs of the district ranging from the integration of technology into our instructional learning spaces, assists with designing standards-based and technology-enriched curriculum and learning experiences, coaching/modeling effective uses of instructional technology in the classroom, researching new and emerging technologies, as well as supporting a robust and secure infrastructure.
Dave holds a BS in Chemistry from The Ohio State University, MS ED in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Akron, and continued his studies at Baldwin Wallace University by earning MA ED in Leadership in Technology for Teaching and Learning while completing the coursework for administration and superintendency licensure.
Dave is not only an enthusiastic contributor to the school district in his professional capacity but also an actively engaged community member deeply invested in the success of our schools, where my his own children thrive as students.

- being 1 to 1 with Chromebooks for our students starting in Kindergarten through Grade 12
all K-12 schools have MakerSpaces available to students and staff to explore, innovate, and integrate STE(A)M principles
live-streaming of district events with SCS TV and our athletics through HUDL services
successfully providing staff and students the resources they need to be successful in any learning environment
recipient of a Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN) and Battelle for Education $5,000 Grant for drones and curriculum for our Introduction to MakerSpace course at SMS
presenting at state and regional conferences including OETC, Learn21 (Ohio CoSN-ISTE) Conference, NEOTech, iTip Google Summit, and Brainstorm.
