Blocksi

Tutorials are available below and in the Blocksi Google Classroom. Complete the tutorials in order and then take the Technical Skills Quiz provided in the Class.

3. Identify and utilize the components of the Student Icon Area

   b. How to Start/Stop a session and utilize the dashboard icons (video)

DO NOT BLOCK WEBSITES USING BLOCKSI AS IT AFFECTS THE WHOLE DISTRICT! INSTEAD OF BLOCKING THE SITE, IMMEDIATELY CLOSE THE STUDENTS TAB.
If any sites need blocked, please report them to your building tech or IT Director. 

1.  Have your students join your Google Classroom.

2. Roster your Google Classroom to Blocksi.

If you are having difficulty with creating the items above, please review the tutorials or submit a request for assistance.

Start a Blocksi session while your students are doing work on their Chromebooks. During your session,
a. share a website or your screen with students
b. send a message to a student
c. take a snapshot of a student's tab
d. close a student's tab
e. utilize the Heads Up function to get the students' attention

After utilizing Blocksi to monitor students while working on an activity, utilize the template posted in the Classroom to guide your reflection. When completed, submit a link to your document in the “Reflection” Google Form posted in the Google Classroom.
