Strongsville City Schools
& Strongsville Education Association
Extend Contract Agreement

Strongsville, OH (February 22, 2019) - Strongsville City Schools and the Strongsville Education Association have agreed on a one year extension to the current contract agreement. This extension maintains the current agreement with a 1.5% salary increase and will be in effect from August 1, 2019 through July 31, 2020.

“This contract extension exemplifies the collaborative relationship that has been built with our teachers and the transparency we have with our community.  By approving this extension and a salary increase that is less than the current cost of living increases in February, our community can be assured as to what they are voting on when they go to the polls this May.  This extension sends a strong message to our community that all Strongsville employees are vested in the future of our school district. We have outstanding teachers in our district and with an uncertain financial future, it is imperative that we keep them teaching in Strongsville,” said Dr. Cameron Ryba, Superintendent.

“This contract extension with our teachers association is essential to continuing the positive work and momentum of our District. We have been dedicated over the past several years to strengthen this collaborative working relationship with our teachers and will continue to build on this agreement. Ultimately, our goal is to have the best teachers in our District enriching the growth of all of our students within the confines of our financial wherewithal as provided by our very supportive taxpayers,” said Mr. Carl Naso, Strongsville Board of Education President.
