Serpentini Chevrolet Makes $210,000 Donation to Strongsville City Schools

Strongsville Middle School Turf Field Will Become “Serpentini Field”

Strongsville, OH (February 21, 2020) - During last evening’s Board of Education meeting, a $210,000 donation was accepted from Serpentini Chevrolet to Strongsville City Schools. This sponsorship donation will support both the District and Athletic Boosters over the next six years. Serpentini Chevrolet was also one of the first local businesses to commit to the initial turf project for Strongsville High School and Strongsville Middle School, donating more than $400,000 to the District in 2016.

This donation to the District will generate funds to support future field turf replacement needs and will memorialize the turf field at Strongsville Middle School as Serpentini Field for the duration of the agreement.  In making Serpentini Chevrolet the banner sponsor on the new digital scoreboards in the Strongsville High School main gymnasium, the donation will assist the Boosters in defraying the total cost of the scoreboards.  Additionally, the continued donation of a Chevrolet automobile annually will provide significant fundraising dollars for the Boosters to support all of the District’s athletic programs.

“Bob and his entire staff have been strong partners and supporters of our District for several years and we appreciate their generous donation. Their continued partnership and financial commitment is a great benefit to Strongsville City Schools and is another example of a community partner investing in the future of our District and students,” said Dr. Cameron Ryba, Superintendent of Strongsville City Schools.

“Community engagement is one of our three District goals. The commitment that Serpentini Chevrolet has made to Strongsville City Schools is a prime example of the positive relationships and the support that our local businesses and organizations provide to help our students, teachers, and staff continue to achieve success,” said Mr. Richard Micko, Strongsville Board of Education President

“We are always excited to be involved in improving the environment for Strongsville students’ extracurricular activities, and their overall school experience,” said Mr. Bob Serpentini, owner of Serpentini Chevrolet.
