Agree on Three Year Contract Extension
Strongsville, OH (February 21, 2020) - Strongsville City Schools and the Strongsville Education Association have agreed on a three year contract extension to the current contract agreement. This extension maintains the current agreement with a 2.0% salary increase per year and will be in effect from August 1, 2020 through July 31, 2023.
“This contract extension exemplifies the continued collaborative relationship that has been built with our teachers. This is a fiscally responsible agreement and is in line with our forecasted budgets over the next three years. We have outstanding teachers in our District and the stability this contract extension provides is a positive factor in retaining our high quality teachers that provide a premier learning environment for our students,” said Dr. Cameron Ryba, Superintendent of Strongsville City Schools.
“We are appreciative of all involved for their efforts in cooperatively working to finalize this agreement. Continuing to build and maintain strong relationships with our teachers is an important factor in making sure our District continues to move forward,” said Mr. Richard Micko, Strongsville Board of Education President.

It has been our pleasure to work collaboratively with the District to develop a trusting relationship where both sides are focused on what is best for the students of Strongsville City Schools. This extension agreement will allow both groups to move forward in our singular mission to make Strongsville City Schools THE premier district in Northeast Ohio,” said Mr. Ian Steffen, President, Strongsville Education Association.
