Two Strongsville High School Students
Earn Perfect Scores on ACT Test
Strongsville, OH (June 11, 2020) - Two students in the Strongsville High School Class of 2021 earned perfect scores on the ACT test. Vardaan Shah and Nina Wei are among fewer than one-half of one percent of students scoring a composite score of 36.
Vardaan and Nina are not just excelling in academics, but both are also involved in several extracurricular activities:
Vardaan Shah serves as Secretary of the Model UN team, Co-President of the Interact Club, Student Activity Coordinator for the Symphony Orchestra, and is a member of the Strongsville Student Advisory Council. He also plays the flute in the Cleveland Youth Orchestra and competes on the SHS varsity tennis team. Vardaan plans to major in engineering in college.
Nina Wei is a member of the Math Club, Science Club, and ASL Club. Nina has been inducted in the math honor society, Mu Alpha Theta and is also a musician in both the Marching Band and Symphonic Band. She is interested in pursuing computer science, engineering, and math related majors at the college level.
The ACT consists of tests in English, mathematics, reading and science, each scored on a scale of 1–36. A student's composite score is the average of the four test scores. The score for ACT’s optional writing test is reported separately and is not included within the ACT composite score.
